I love art and craft activities with little ones and I love making a mess! I know it’s a cliché, but I think that art and craft with young children is about the process and not the product. Don’t worry if their finished work bares no resemblance to what is planned, its’ really not important.
Recently I was asked to run the art activity at my baby group. I started looking on line for ideas, but many were for older children. So, I decided to collate all the ideas that I have seen and used together on one website. The ideas can of course be adapted to suit you. You may well find that the children will themselves adapt, wanting to use felt tips, when you have prepared painting, for example. Go with the flow and have fun! Some examples on this site are produced by me (and I’m no artist!), but some come from children. Hopefully they just illustrate the idea. Copy away- use them, have fun and link to this site 🙂
If you have any ideas, please let me know and I will include them too.
Art and Craft for babies are affiliates with Yellow Moon and Baker Ross. Some of the ideas contain links, so if you would like to support the site, please buy via our links!
