Autumn tree finger print painting

autumn tree paintingAutumn fingerprint paintingYou could either do individual paintings, or create an autumn forest.

The first picture was the example we did in the toddler group- photocopied A4 tree, then used finger paints. The second I did with my children at home. We used normal ready made paints for the leaves.

What you need:

  • brown, orange, red, yellow and green ready mix paint
  • paint trays
  • brushes for those who want to paint their own trunk
  • sugar paper- I used a roll of old wall paper

Preparation:

  • I painted a tree outline first, but older ones may be able to do this themselves.

How to create your picture:

The children used their fingers to decorate the tree with autumnal colours. They really enjoyed this.
